Notes. This parish was formed in from St. George's Parish in Spotsylvania County. When that part of Spotsylvania was taken to form Orange County inSt.

Mark's Parish went to Orange County. In Culpeper County was formed from Orange County and the parish went to that county. The early history of the parish of St. Mark and Ascension had its beginnings at Crescent Beach in an organized way aboutand has worshipped at this location since Today, we are part of the Diocese of New Westminister, one of 66 congregations, and 3 emerging faith communities, in a portion of British Columbia extending from Squamish.

The roots of our ministry — the roots of who we are as Ascension — go all the way back to the God who created us. In the scriptures, we see that God is always acting on behalf of creation and of human persons in community, especially on behalf of those who are poor and vulnerable.
